Love course
The Love unit of the Foundation Course in Practical Philosophy is offered to all students who have completed the Introductory Course to Practical Philosophy.
This unit explores the nature of pure Love and expands on the ideas and practices from the Introductory Course including:
- The practice of ‘The Exercise’
- The need to be in the present.
- The relationships between Wisdom, Knowledge and Love
…this unit also expands on other concepts such as:
- Love and Reason Unity and duality
- Gratitude and Harmony
…and it asks some important questions which include:
- What is Love?
- How is it gained and how is it lost?
- What it is that is loved?
This unit also explores related philosophical ideas of:
- Rumi
- Shakespeare
- Marcus Aurelius
